The Jacobite Steam Train

Please check the latest news from the train operator West Coast Railways. The issues which delayed the start of the 2024 season in March/April have been resolved but there may be less capacity as different carriages are being used.
During the summer you can take The Jacobite steam train from Fort William past Ben Nevis, over the Glenfinnan Viaduct and along the Road to the Isles all the way to the fishing port of Mallaig. It usually stops for a while at the Glenfinnan Station Museum.
Morning Service - departs Fort William 10.15am
Daily from 16 April to 25 October 2024Afternoon Service - departs Fort William 12.50pm (except on Saturdays when there is a later deparature time to be confirmed)
