Castle of Fiddes was once held by the Arbuthnotts but sold in the late 17th century. Now a farmhouse restored in the 1960s. 4 miles SW of Stonehaven.

The ruins of 16th century Greenan Castle at Greenan in Ayrshire
(2.5 miles SW of Ayr railway station) stand on the site
of an earlier castle which was owned by the Davidsons.
As far as I know little or nothing of this original building remains.
Tulloch Castle, 1 mile north
of Dingwall (north of Inverness in the eastern Highlands).
It belonged to the Bains until 1760 when it passed to
the Davidsons who held it until the 20th century.
It now operates as a hotel.
